After
you have applied for your service, please call
us at 1-800-365-3234 approximately 10 days before
you would like your service installed to allow
time for scheduling.
Before installation
can begin, the following steps must take place:
For New Buildings
The foundation must be completed and our selected
meter site must be marked, back-filled to final
grade and free of obstructions (i.e., building
materials, dirt piles, scaffolding, etc.)
For Existing Buildings
The house piping must be installed, and/or proof
of purchase of natural gas heating equipment must
be provided. New York applicants must complete
a certificate verifying compliance with minimum
insulation standards.
Meter Placement
Typically, meters will be installed outside the
residence, opposite the driveway, no further than
five feet from the front corner of the house.
However, National Fuel may install the meter in
another location that it determines to be reasonably
accessible, convenient and safe.
