LIHEAP Income Guidelines (Pennsylvania Customers)

During the 2016 - 2017 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), eligible customers are able to receive cash grants whether or not they pay separately for their heat. In addition, eligible customers are able to receive crisis grants, which are needed to prevent service termination or to restore service.

You may be eligible to receive cash and crisis grants if your household income is at or below the following income levels:

To apply for LIHEAP you will need the names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and proof of income for all members of the household, as well as a recent heating bill. After your application is reviewed, you will receive a written notice explaining your eligibility and the amount of assistance you will receive. Grant payments are generally sent to a utility company or fuel dealer and are credited to your account. Please allow 30 days for a response.
