We understand how busy life can be. That's why we make paying your gas bill fast and hassle free.

Payments made on National Fuel's website on business days between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM will be credited to your account after 10:00 PM that day. Payments made on business days after 4:00 PM, on weekends or holidays, will be credited to your account after 10:00 PM on the next business day.



Pay Online

National Fuel's utility customers can pay their bills online. Online payment is safe, secure, fast, easy, and best of all, free. Once you have set up an account, you can view and pay your bill — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can even sign up for our Budget Plan.

One-Time Pay

If your payment date is coming up or you'd like to pay your gas bill quickly and easily, but do not want to sign up for an online account, you can do so by selecting one of the following payment options. You will need to know your nine digit National Fuel account number in order to use either of the payment options below:

  • To make a payment from your checking or savings account, have your bank account information handy, and click here.
  • To make a payment using your debit card or your Discover, Master Card, or Visa credit card, have your card information handy, and click here. Debit and credit card payments cannot be scheduled for a future date.

Can I pay by phone?

Yes. Online Resources is a vendor that allows National Fuel customers to pay by phone and accepts electronic check, credit card and debit card payments on National Fuel's behalf. Online Resources charges the customer a service fee to pay by phone.
You will need to know your nine digit National Fuel account number in order to use either of the payment options below. Phone payments cannot be scheduled for a future date.

  • To make a payment from your checking or savings account, have your bank account information handy, and call 1-866-999-3277.
  • To make a payment using your debit card or your Discover, Master Card, or Visa credit card, have your card information handy, and call 1-866-999-7668.

Direct Payment Plan

Our Direct Payment Plan deducts your monthly gas payment from your checking or savings account automatically on the late payment date. That means no more check writing, check charges, postage costs or waiting in line. And, you still receive your monthly billing statement 20 to 23 days before the late payment date.

The statement will tell you exactly how much will be deducted from your account and on what day. There will be still plenty of time to call us with any questions. Best of all, it's absolutely free!

The Direct Payment Plan is especially compatible with our Budget Plan. By participating in both programs, you can be prepared for your monthly deductions.

Budget Plan

For many of our customers, having level and predictable monthly gas payments can make budgeting easier. Our Budget Plan lets you stabilize your entire monthly bill for up to one year. The plan divides your estimated annual bill by 12 (or by the number of months you want your budget plan to be in effect).

Budget Plan participants' average bill amounts are based on a combination of the cost of gas and weather conditions, plus historic and current gas usage. Since these factors can change, we may adjust your Budget Plan amount periodically to ensure that it remains accurate.

Deferred Payment Agreement

At National Fuel, we understand that some people have difficulty making payments from time to time. If you are unable to make your payment, please talk to a representative at one of our Customer Assistance Centers, or call us at 1-800-365-3234, as soon as possible.

You may be asked to provide income and expense information. Based on that, we may be able to arrange a deferred payment agreement. If your financial situation changes, we may change your payment plan.

Other Convenient Ways to Make Payments

Another quick and easy way to pay your bill is by mail. Simply send your check to National Fuel in the self-addressed envelope enclosed with your statement. The mailing address is:
